WHEW!! Robyn and Carmen accepted, weighed and served up coupons for 340 pounds of yarn Friday and Saturday in September!! The rain held off 'til evening both days and the yard and porch were full of happy people unloading unwanted fiber.
We had a great two days of donations and meeting nice people. One couple came the week before, drove 5 hours to bring 6 or 7 bags of lovely (mostly baby) yarn and didn’t even leave their name…..said they just wanted to give it to a good cause. Another woman brought in 4 boxes of gorgeous glitzy, glamour yarn, as well as cottons and linens…127 pounds worth. (I think that might be the record for this third event.)
